Transplant Coordinator (Mechanical Heart Devices)
You are responsible for the overall coordination of mechanical heart device implantation, working closely with a multidisciplinary team. This includes assisting in the assessment of patients for the implantation, guiding patients and their families through the programme to ensure they have a good understanding, and conducting device training.
You will support doctors during the implantation procedure and subsequently oversee the management of patients who are implanted with the device, including carrying out routine investigations, and performing wound inspections and dressings.
In addition, you will assist in the administration of the programme and maintain statistical data, including updating the Registry.
Requirements
- A State Registered Nurse in Singapore with 3 to 5 years’ relevant work experience in an acute hospital setting
- Experience in cardiothoracic nursing or operating theatre would be an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Documented proof of:
- MMR - Mumps, Measles and Rubella vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity; and
- Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccination received within the last 10 years, as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act.
